Alf Lawrie founded Unruly Studios in 2024. Prior to that, he was Head Of Factual Entertainment at Channel 4, where he oversaw many of the biggest and most popular titles on British television, including The Great British Bake Off, Gogglebox, and Married At First Sight.
Alf also commissioned a host of revelatory and critically-acclaimed social-experiments, including The Jury: Murder Trial, Smuggled, The British Tribe Next Door and 60 Days On The Streets – as well as challenging, provocative documentaries such as Chris Packham: Is It Time To Break The Law? and The Rise And Fall of Boris Johnson, which asked searching questions of those in power.
Alf is passionate about bringing big ideas, gripping stories and fresh perspectives to wide audiences.
